Cleaning price calculator

Estimate how long a clean will take and what to charge — regular, deep or end-of-tenancy — based on the size of the home and your hourly rate.

Updated 15 October 2026

In short

To price a clean, estimate the hours from the type of clean and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, then multiply by your hourly rate. Deep and end-of-tenancy cleans take longer and are usually priced higher.

A starting point, not a quote — homes vary. Time it on your first visit and adjust. The £18 rate is only an example; set your own.

Pricing by the hour or by the job

Pricing by the hour is simplest when you are starting out. Once you know how long a home takes, a fixed price per clean is easier for customers to say yes to — and you keep the benefit when you get faster.

Time your first visit to every new home, then set a fixed price for the regular clean after that.

Questions people ask

How long does a deep clean take?

Usually around one and a half times as long as a regular clean of the same home, and more if it has not been cleaned for a while.

Should end-of-tenancy cleans cost more?

Yes. They cover everything, inside cupboards and appliances included, and often have to meet a letting agent’s checklist.
